Report on In Armenia Telecoms, Mobile and Broadband Market Status, Market Size by Players, Regions, Type and Application | 2022
WiseGuyReports.com “Armenia - Telecoms, Mobile and Broadband - Statistics and Analyses” report has been added to its Research Database.
Scope of the Report:

Armenia - Telecoms
Mobile market in Armenia undergoes major modernization program. The Armenian telecom market continues to attempt to put an effective national telecommunications service in place. With its relatively small population and low GDP per capita, it does not offer a hugely lucrative market opportunity. However, the government and the operators have been systematically building telecom networks and offering services.
Armenia is ranked 15th out of 34 with a Telecoms Maturity Index score of 37. (BuddeComm’s “Asian Telecoms Maturity Index”, is an index (on a scale between 0 and 100) that measures and ranks the relative maturity of the telecoms industry in all of the 34 countries in Asia.) Compared to other Asian nations, Armenia has a moderately high mobile and mobile broadband penetration and low to moderate broadband penetration.
The fixed broadband market has grown strongly over the past decade from a small base and still remains low by international comparisons. Over the last five years, penetration has increased from a very small base. Over the next five years to 2022 moderate growth is expected.
Growth in the mobile market over the past five years has been relatively flat and this trend is expected to continue over the next five years to 2022
VEON Armenia (Beeline) successfully completed the large-scale mobile network modernization program it first announced earlier in 2017. The wide-scale project is part of an investment of tens of millions of US dollars over 2017 to 2019.

Mobile broadband subscribers have grown very strongly over the past five years supported by widespread rollouts of 4G infrastructure and the release of a growing range of mobile broadband packages by the major mobile operators. Strong growth is predicted over the next five years to 2022. The mobile broadband market will be driven by increasingly faster speeds offered by the mobile operators as they roll out their 4G networks and falling prices due to growing competition.
The Armenian government stated that Nokia could be company selected to participate in a project designed to ensure the country can roll out a nationwide 5G network.
